Terms and Conditions

Placing Your Order You may place your order from our secure online shopping web site, or via telephone, fax or mail.

Payments We accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa. Your credit card information is secure, and all customer information is kept private.

We also accept certified checks and money orders. Personal checks are accepted; however, they are subject to collection of funds. If you pay by personal check, we will ship your order only after your check has been cleared by the bank. An additional fee of $20.00 will be charged for any check returned due to insufficient funds.

Customer Accounts Accounts may be established for schools and other authorized institutions.

Commercial and business organizations may also open accounts. To establish an account, please call P. J. and Company Customer Service Department to request an application. Bank and trade references are required. Also, if your organization is tax-exempt, you will need to provide us with a copy of your tax-exempt certificate along with your application. Account terms are Net 30 Days.

Satisfaction Guarantee

PJ & Company backs up its products with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. This means that, if you find that your purchase is defective, you can contact us within ten business days of its receipt, and we will exchange, repair or refund the cost of the item.

If your purchase is not damaged, but you are dissatisfied with it for other reasons, you may return it after notifying us within ten business days of receipt. We will refund the cost of the item(s), minus an industry standard of 20% restocking fee. You will be responsible for paying for the return shipping charges.

Installations

From a simple drop ship to the set up of a suite of office furniture, PJ & Company has the nationwide network of moving companies, common carriers and local delivery personnel to fulfill all of your receiving needs.

Please keep in mind that many variables will affect the cost of shipping your large item product: whether the final destination is residential or commercial, whether there are any stairs that need to be climbed in order to perform the delivery, whether there are restricted receiving hours, etc. At PJ & Company, we can arrange the delivery to suit your needs, and we can do it in the most cost effective manner. Most of the items we carry can ship via small parcel carrier, either UPS, Federal Express, or USPS. This option is the fastest and most efficient method of delivering your small item order. However, some items are too large or too heavy to ship this way. They must deliver via truck. There are four levels of truck freight service: end of truck/dock, liftgate, inside delivery, and full installation. End of truck/Dock delivery is the standard and least expensive choice for transporting freight by a common carrier. If you choose this option, you will be responsible for carrying your purchase from the tailgate of the truck into your facility, or accepting the delivery on your loading dock. If you choose liftgate delivery, we will arrange for a trailer equipped with a liftgate, so that your purchase can be lowered to the ground level. From that point, you will be expected to move it into your building. If you decide for inside delivery, the driver will bring your purchase inside your building, and site it within twenty fee of the door closest to the outside. If you opt for full installation, our installer will carry your purchase inside your building to the room of your choice, unpack it, assemble the product (if needed), and site and level the item. Shipping and Handling

General Information:

  • Many items in our catalog ship direct from the manufacturer’s location.
  • Smaller items can be shipped via UPS or FedEx Ground at standard rates.
  • Somewhat larger items can be shipped via UPS or FedEx at over-sized rates.
  • Larger and heavier items are shipped F.O.B. via truck at common carrier rates.
  • We will choose the most reliable and least expensive way to ship your purchase. Shipping costs published on this site are as accurate as the technology allows. If we discover that there is a large disparity between the actual cost of shipping your order and the charge published on this site at the time you placed the order, we will notify you via phone or e-mail before we process your order.
  • Furniture and equipment orders will be scheduled for a weekday delivery, during regular business hours.

Accepting Your Delivery:

  • Please examine your shipment and its delivery receipt very carefully.
  • Be sure to note any damages, carton defects or shortages on the delivery receipt before the delivery personnel leave. If the driver will not wait while you fully inspect the shipment, note this on the receipt and mark it: “Delivery accepted only upon further inspection, possible concealed damage”.
  • Retain shipping cartons and other packaging material in the event of damages.
  • PJ & Company must be notified of defects, damages or shortages within 5 days of delivery of your shipment.
  • By taking this time to look over your purchase immediately after it arrives and following the steps outlined above, you will insure that the freight company is responsible for any damages incurred in shipment. If this is not done, we will have no recourse with the carrier.

Types of Delivery:

  • Orders shipped via small parcel carrier (UPS, FedEx) are brought into the building.
  • Orders of large items shipped via truck are designated for end of truck or dock delivery. This means the driver will bring your purchase to the end of the trailer. From that point you, or someone from your organization, will be responsible for moving your order into your building.
  • There are three other levels of delivery service on truck shipments that we can arrange for you for an extra fee. These three levels are: liftgate, inside delivery, and full installation. If you elect a liftgate delivery, the truck delivering your order would arrive equipped with a liftgate. The driver would lower your purchase to ground level. From there, you would be responsible for moving your order into your building. If you elect an inside delivery, the driver will bring your purchase inside your building, and site it within 20 feet of the door closest to the outside. If you opt for a full installation, our installer will carry your purchase inside your building to the room of your choice, unpack it, and assemble the product (if needed), and site it and level the item. The installer also will remove and dispose of all cartoning and debris associated with your order. Please keep in mind that if the delivery personnel have to climb any stairs to complete an inside delivery or a full installation, this situation would incur an extra charge also. If you require a liftgate, inside delivery, or full installation, please contact our customer service department for further information and pricing.

Area of Delivery:

  • We can ship anywhere in the Continental U.S., as well as Alaska and Hawaii and Canada. Additional delivery charges will be applied on shipments to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. Please call us for information on delivery rates for these areas as we have very good rates.
  • We cannot ship to Post Office Box addresses.

Price Changes

We keep the prices in our catalog up-to-date. However, all prices are subject to change without notice due to manufacturer increases.

The prices charged are those in effect at the time of shipment, based on producer prices. In the case where a price at the time of shipment is significantly different than on your order, we will contact you by e-mail or telephone requesting your authorization to proceed with the order.

All prices stated are in U.S. dollars.

Return Policy

Always inspect your order carefully at the time of delivery, and save any shipping carton and packing materials.

If your purchase arrives and the outer packaging looks like it has been damaged during shipping (no matter how minor), you must note this on the delivery receipt, or refuse the shipment. In either case, call us or e-mail us immediately to let us know what course of action you have taken. If the packaging is undamaged when you receive it, but upon opening the box you find that there is concealed damage or missing parts, you must notify us within five days so that we can file a claim with the carrier. We will be able to replace or repair your purchase, or refund its cost, if you have followed the instructions above and supplied us with details of the damages. If you do not follow the steps outlined above, we will have no recourse with the carrier.

For manufacturer defect, PJ & Company will exchange, repair or refund the cost of the item you purchased. If you discover a problem with your product and you wish to return or exchange it, you must notify us within ten business days of your receipt of your order.

If your purchase is delivered in undamaged condition and there are no manufacturer’s flaws, but you decide after accepting it that you do not want or need the product, you may return it if you notify us within ten business days of receipt. We will refund the cost of the item, minus an industry standard 20% restocking fee. Also, you will be responsible for payment of any return shipping charges.

In case of damage or dissatisfaction with your purchase, you must retain your order’s original shipping carton(s) and other packing material. Once you have decided to return your purchase, and have notified PJ & Company of the circumstances, the item(s) must be securely wrapped in its original packaging before it can be shipped back. We can either arrange for your order to be picked up, or you can send it back directly. If you choose to ship the order back yourself, we will supply you with a return authorization number and an address to which it should be sent. Be sure to send it by a traceable method with a required proof of delivery.

Custom orders are not returnable.
